To Live is Christ

- We must be crucified with Christ (Romans 6:3-6)
- Fruitful labor (Philippians 1:22)
- Help others (Philippians 1:24)
- Live worthy of the gospel (Philippians 1:27)
To Die is Gain
- Nothing wrong with enjoying the blessings of this life (Ecclesiastes 11:8) — but keep things in perspective
- God has promised a great reward after this life (John 14:2-3; Revelation 14:13; 21:4)
- The only way we can say “to die is gain” is if we are truly living for Christ (Matthew 7:21-23; Amos 5:18-20)
- We must be prepared to meet the Lord in judgment (2 Peter 3:14)
